Ambience and sound design are something I want to look more into this year. I’ve been listening to lots of ambient music on youtube to help me go to sleep, I also was so inspired listening to Brian Eno and Fred Again’s ‘Secret Life’ last year, which is such a cool mesh of soundscapes.
I’ve made a few longish demo’s I’m trying to keep the length to 10-20 minutes just to see if that would in that format. There was one though that came together very quickly I decided to release it on my youtube channel just to see if people liked it…
So far it seemed like there was some interest, I also loved making the video for this and creating the fusion rain effect in da vinci resolve. I’ve got myself a refurbished mac book pro at the start of the year, I really want to be able to write outside of my studio set up so the plan is to continue making some more ambient pieces outside this year over the summer. The aim is to release a ambient album near the end of the year. Before I move onto to making some orchestral RPG inspired music that I’ve been building a template to write with.
